Community Health Facilities Fund

Since 1991 the Community Health Facilities Fund has offered  innovative loan programs and provided technical assistance to meet the evolving capital needs of community based behavioral healthcare organizations across the country.

Who are we?

For over 30 years the Community Health Facilities Fund (CHFF) has been the only organization dedicated exclusively to providing capital and technical assistance to support the establishment, growth and sustainability of non-profit community based behavioral health care organizations (BHO). 

 

CHFF continues to evolve with the BHO industry, transitioning from a capital provider to a technical resource for achieving long term financial goals and integrating with the nation’s health care delivery system.

Innovations

Since our formation in 1992, CHFF has developed four innovative approaches to providing cost-effective capital to behavioral health organizations.

Innovative Pooled Loan Programs

CHFF pledged its own reserves to support $30 million of capital to behavioral healthcare providers.  This credit enhancement was key to obtaining these loans

Unique National Loan Fund

CHFF created a unique $42 million national loan

fund dedicated exclusively to community based behavioral health care organizations by using its own capital and partnering with a national mutual fund.

Direct Loans

CHFF provided direct loans for facilities development, software, and working capital.

Technical Assistance Programs

CHFF provides technical assistance for managing long-term financial stability building on decades of lending experience to community behavioral health care organizations.
